Estimates & Retainers
Every engagement begins with a good-faith weekly-hour estimate based on the specific scope of the project. All hours are logged in detail and available to the client for full transparency, and monthly billing reflects actual hours worked.
A retainer is optional: clients may pre-pay toward their account balance for any number of hours; end-of-month billing is still based on actual hours worked; any unused pre-paid balance is refunded; retainer clients review and approve their monthly bill before it's finalized.
New billing structure effective September 1, 2026 for current clients; effective immediately (July 28, 2026) for new clients.

Travel (over 10 miles) billed at the current IRS standard business mileage rate: $0.76 / mile.
The IRS raised its standard business mileage rate mid-year in 2026, from $0.725 to $0.76 per mile, effective July 1, 2026. This rate will be updated here as the IRS issues future adjustments.
